Everything about this hotel was exceptional. "Q" at the front desk was very helpful from check-in to check-out. All the staff were amazing, though. The beds were so comfortable I didn't want to get up in the morning, but of course, there is so much to see in Phnom Penh, you have to. The hotel's layout is wonderful, with private little courtyards and places to sit. The gardens give it a peaceful, oasis-like feeling. The pool area is fantastic. Not only is it a huge pool and very clean, but there are separate cabanas with their own steps into the pool. The pool bar will serve you anything from lattes to cold Tiger Beer. It was heavenly! We both had massages at the Senses Spa, and they were the best ones I've had on this trip. ( Been 4 months in SE Asia now, so I've had a few) The Sky Bar overlooks the Royal Palace and is a great place for Happy Hour. Outside the hotel, there are a few tuk-tuks that the Palace Gate authorizes. We were lucky to get Robert, #9.and used him whenever we needed a Tuk-Tuk. Not only was he a careful driver, but he was also able to find us things that we had been looking for and make suggestions for us. I would go back to Phnom Penh just to stay at this hotel again. It really was wonderful!

The location of the hotel is excellent, concerierge staff are excellent, to the extent of helping cross the road, even though we didn't need it, lots of little caring touches, checking out who you might be using for a trip, looking after luggage with care. Most food and beverage staff are good too. The roof top bar and the pool area are well maintained by the grounds staff. We had a great time at the hotel and recieved an upgrade as we had booked well in advance and the rate had almost halved since. We spent little time in the room so didn't maximise the use of the suite. We do wish we could have stayed longer and would return. Breakfast was plentiful and varied - not all staff offer coffee and the one you can pour yourself is the Vietnamese style/chichory flavouring, so ask for coffee. Some guests are very demanding we observed, and there's no need for that kind of attitude and behaviour, but they didn't spoil our stay.

Place is a smaller hotel compared to other brands. Very rustic, earthen type of decor. If you’re looking for contemporary, this is not it. A lot of Cambodian art and figurines decorating the place. It almost feels like Babylon with plenty of greenery. Pisey remembered my name before I checked in and greeted me when I arrived. Grand Palace is right next door, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Room was clean, essential amenities provided. And room was spacious as well. Swimming pool is saltwater pool. Refreshing. Spa had great services. Gym was pretty decent. Not fantastic but it could keep a gym rat busy. Breakfast was excellent. Huge variety to pick from. Continental, khmer cuisine. You had pastries, live stations.

Beautiful surroundings and a good location. The pool area is great and the staff are fantastic. If you want to use a Tuktuk, use Mr Nounlorn, he resides outside the hotel & if the guards ask you, ask for “Number 12”. It’s his Tuktuk but he has the hotel name on it & will help you with anything as well as keep your belongings safe & makes sure you don’t get taken advantage of, he is highly recommended. He won’t ask for much money, so be kind & give home a good tip. Remember, if he drives you around all afternoon & asks for US$25 for 5hrs at your disposal incl. helping you & keep your belongings safe, then that’s a very small price to pay. You don’t need to haggle over that, give him $35 & you will change his day! 😊

A lovely property located next to the royal palace. Our room overlooked the roof of the palace. The staff on arrival were very attentive we were given an early check in as we had disembarked a Mekong cruise. This was very much appreciated. We had planned to visit the royal palace during the day but the Chinese President was visiting so many of the roads were closed including the palace. Spent a relaxing day by the pool which was enjoyable.. Had a nice dinner in their lovely restaurant and an excellent breakfast the following morning.. Overall this is a great hotel with exceptional staff.
